Honey House 2 Hotel on Sukhumvit Alley 22 ~ Bangkok Thailand
Thanks for your video. Would you recommend this resort ? We are looking at staying here for the first week in July. The Sea view is what attracts me but the rooms themselves seem quite basic for the money. I would appreciate your opinion of this resort compared to others in the area. Thank you, Justin
@jakin7985 This hotel is a bit expensive, but everything was quite nice. Location is great. It's at the end of a nice strip. The night market is not too far away and there's lots of shops and restaurants. The one complaint I did have is that the beach sand, where this hotel is located, isn't soft sand. It's a course sand. Almost like cat litter box sand. I'm not much of a beach person so... Wasn't a big issue for me.
Thanks for the reply We’ve decided to reserve a 2 bedroom villa at a resort called “Karma” which is in the same area I believe. It is a bit cheaper to put the 4 of us in one villa rather than get 2 rooms. Only downside is we won’t have a sea view but will have our own plunge pool. As it’s our first time to Koh Samui I’m thinking we won’t spend a lot of time in our room anyway.
@@jaking7985 Karma Beach resort looks nice. It's just up the road from Hansar Koh Samui hotel that I stayed at. Scooters are cheap to rent. Rent scooters and explore the whole island. Thailand is amazing. I can't wait to go back.
I had that Africa twin at Xmas going to Laos , hated it , swapped it with another riding for the Ktm
I requested the KTM 790 but it wasn't available. The Africa Twin is pretty hefty. Still had a ton of fun.
You are living my dream! All the best from Lee back home
Come to Thailand and join me
Hope you're having fun Ange!
Yes!!!! Come to Thailand and join me
That’s nice. Are you liking it there?
Yes, I'm having fun. Scootering is a great way to see a country.
Thank you! Have many questions… Would you recommend it? I’m going on November. The top roof looks like a bar , is it a bar and can you smoke there ? Have more questions but this is it for now . Thank you in advance for your response.
aweh man, you posted this 7 yrs ago, hope your still posting. I could definitely see this channel easily blowing up. Your a gifted natural talker my friend and the little things, instead of objectively claiming it makes more power for the upsized jets, you were honest. hahaha little things I picked up but hope all is well 7 yrs later.
You Yankees are fucked cints
thanks for the tips. good video 👍
Great video. We love Aruba. Hope you enjoyed your trip. We got married at the Holiday Inn. Been 18 times since 2009
Is it better than a Suzuki 450 CC
I’m 6’6 and this bike still carries me fast as hell and it’s not small at all for me even tho it’s like 5 feet tall and 5 feet long. Pretty nice bike tbh
Well said...like'n your level headedness...great listening to someone who sounds for real & like he might have some idea of how to articulate ideas without stammering for words. Like the brilliant-simple trimming the rear of the F sprocket cover..im all about that one! Your bike roars much louder then stock yet you implied you found removing spark arrestor wasn't a wise move.. I'll dive further into your other entrées..much thanks !
Hi im 5 3' woman will it fit or lower seat?
Front shocks and you cant beat it get new shocks and you good to go
Going up a tooth in the front will give you more top-end not bottom end
Last summer I purchased the 2019 model. I love it and have a lot of fun on it.
Hi. I just looked at your video. I'm wanting to buy a TT-R230. I have looked at a few and done several test rides. They ride well but as you said, they are not overly powerful. I was quite surprised by the lack of power, but still, like the feel of the bike and how it rides. I currently have a DR200G (pumper carb model) and under acceleration, I'd say the DR would keep up with the TTR until 3rd gear, then the TT-R would get away on the DR. If I go ahead and buy this TT-R, I would be keen to do that carb mod you talked about. Can you tell me more about that? What was the stock main and pilot jet before you upgraded? Did the #130 main and #38 pilot make a big difference? Hope you can help. Thanks.
Is... your camerawoman crying?
Dank I

Do you have the link for the Dirt Rider TTR230 build? Ive seen the one on youtube with the Honda CRF230F bike build. Looking to picking up a 230 for my 15 year old son. Thank you for all the info in the vid.
www.off-road.com/dirtbike/project/project1559.html
Drill out the idle air mixture screw plug. #38 pilot jet (Yamaha part no. is 43f-14342-19) main jet, #130 . Make sure that the carb float level is correct!!! (If its an older bike you should probably replace the float needle and seat)
More then likely I'll purchase the bike new. Great info....ty sir.
@@spammned Save your money...get a used one. After 1-2 years you'll be upgrading anyways.
Ive been shopping around the past 3 months and I'm in Houston. I have yet to see 1 pop up on CL or any trade sites or within Dallas, Austin, or San Antonio. They are good bikes that people are hanging onto. My 15 year-old is inexperienced when it comes to dirt-bikes, unlike quads. If this 230 can get him to 18 i'll be happpy lol.
What’s a good starter bike? I’m 5’9 and weigh 125 lbs
Lmao me to I’m looking at a ttr230 like this bloke
Why you have it on a race stand when It has a kick stand?
Hey r u sure the front sprocket was a 13 too 14 because they come stock with 14 I believe. Let me know thx
The TTR230 has a stock 13T in the front and a 49T in the rear. Many people upsize the front sprocket by one tooth because 1st gear is very short. I got it from an article in Dirt Rider Magazine. Here. www.off-road.com/dirtbike/race/project-yamaha-ttr230-part-1-dirt-bike-suspension-power-and-handling-27615.html

Have you sold your Yamaha Te 230?
Sold it a long time ago.
A T how much did it go for
I love your channel and subbed could you please return the favor
Is it a 4 stroke
Yes it is. Four stroke and air cooled.
Cool bike we will be getting it as a next bike going from 150f
I thin that filter is backwards
The fuel filter is not backwards. It's supposed to be put in that direction. It's a filter but not like a coffee filter.

Did you remove the air intake baffle when you rejetted the bike? Seems like you left the exhaust stock?
Yes, I did remove the air intake baffle and I even drilled a few holes in the air box. I left the exhaust spark arrestor in because when I removed it, the engine didn't idle very well. I may have had more power at higher rpm's without it, but it didn't run well at idle.
A T sounds good. I'll do the same with mine now. I didn't realise this was something you could do without replacing the exhaust.
@@angelocardoc I know
What's is a bike I can take on trails but still go fast on tracks
This is a good bike to start off with. When you have years of experience, then you'll be better able to decide on the bike you want.
A T I'm 13 and I've been riding since I was 3 so I was thinking of getting a crf 150r
Aruba govt should provide up and down air tickets accommodation with food to visitors from third world countries every year.
U need a new chain bud
Just the chain? Or chain and sprockets???
A T All that gets replaced at the same time to avoid premature wear.
Impressive ride man I would be too scared to even attempt it lol!
It's not that steep of a hill. Has deep soft beach sand. I always fall at the top.
I love my 2000 Yamaha TTR 125L!
Got a Sherpa too, and they're unnecessarily slow for North America. Service manual gives figures of 18hp for Canada & USA. 20hp for Australia, and 26hp for Greece (no emmisions). Converting to the greek specs isn't economically feasible (jets, cams, cdi & airbox appear to be different). These bikes are bulletproof because they're under-stressed.
I went up two sizes on the main and pilot. Main Jet-132.5 Pilot Jet-22.5 It didn't have any trouble getting up to about 90km/hr and could cruise that speed all day. It would max out at about 115km/hr. Be sure to check the valve clearances and adjust if they are too tight. My bike was out and it only had 3,600km Super comfortable seat, makes the under powered engine tolerable. I bought a Yamaha WR250R after I sold my Sherpa. Big mistake. WR wasn't much more powerful and wasn't comfortable.
My example is 2005, stock, but I just completely serviced it (plug, carb clean, etc.). I'm 6' 250lbs, and it performs the same, and will get me (amazingly) up to 120km/h. It's fairly zippy for a 250 up to 80km/h. I might be wrong about the camshafts for greece being different, as their duration and angle values are identical to the greek model. Carburators are the same for all models. Ignition timing is significantly different, and according to the manual can't be adjusted (CDI box). Greek and Australian models make their max horsepower at 8000rpm and torque at 7000rpm, while North American models do so at a 1000 rpm less. THe North American models make a whopping 4ft lbs less torque! The Australian model is restricted by a catalytic converter, ahead of the muffler and has an electric carb heater too. Once I compile more info, I'll do a video for all those North American Sherpa owners. The motor has tons of potential, being designed in the pre-emissions era. Thanks for the info on the WR250, as it was also on the radar for purchase (the used KLX I tried was a dog!), so it looks like a DRZ400 is in the future.
I test rode a DRZ400. Yes it had more power than the Sherpa but nothing to bragg about. I also looked at some KTM's. An EXC450 and an EXC350. Really really nice machines. Waaaaaayyyyyy more power!!! I didn't buy either because they were just too expensive. I took advice from some off road bikers and decided to buy street bikes for the street and off road bikes for off road. I now have 5 two wheeled machines in my garage and I'm broke....But happy.
Ha ha! Thanks. Already have a boat, so I'm fiscally irresponsible enough. I too looked at KTM and Husqvarna while ordering parts at the dealer, and got depressed as they're waaay out of reach.
What part of Canada are you in?
Hey, how tall and heavy are you
Hi I'm 5'11" and 220Lbs
Still riding the ttr?
No I sold it and bought a WR250F. Then I sold that and now I have a YZ125 and a KTM200XC Both are awesome

Can i Ride this if i am 13 years old an have no driving lecense?
You don't need a drivers licence where I live (Ontario). Might be different elsewhere. But first!!!! You need your parents or guardian's permission. Then you'll need riding gear. (Helmet, riding boots, body armour, etc etc) After that you'll need someone experienced to teach you how a motorcycle operates. It's not a bicycle. These things can kill you or leave you paralyzed. You'll also need a place to ride it. Private property will require you to ask the owner if it's ok to ride on his/her land. Or you can go to a track and pay. Or you can ride on government land, if it's allowed. There are different rules depending on where you live. In Ontario, you'll need off road insurance and an "off road licence plate", but no drivers licence is required for "off road" vehicles. It is against the law to ride an "off road" vehicle on public roads here in Ontario.
What year is this bike
Its a 2005
could this bike get a fat guy up a big hill?
Depends on how fat and how steep the hill is....I guess. I'm pretty fat and it hauled my ass around just fine
And bars
What kind of bark busters do you have
Renthal bars. Not sure which ones. Emgo Sport Handlebar hand-guards.
Well, it would be an upgrade from my Chinese pit bike but I was hoping it was 2 stroke for the higher torque at lower rpm's.
I had a Chinese pit bike too. The thing would fall apart the more I rode it. Some people think the Chinese pit bikes are great. I'm not a fan. You mentioned about hoping it was a 2 stroke for higher torque. Two stroke engines do not have higher torque at low RPM's. If you want torque you'll want a 4 stroke engine. Two strokes are light weight and have all their power at high RPM's. If your a beginner rider you should probably stick with an air cooled 4 stroke like the TTR230. Air cooled 4 stroke engines are low maintenance and designed for low RPM torque. No radiators or cooling system hoses to worry about either. Just make sure to keep mud out of the engine's cooling fins and keep the engine oil clean and topped up. If you hop on a bike thats too powerful for your skill level you'll get hurt. You'll become a better rider if you start off with the right bike. If you buy a good used TTR230 at a good price you'll be able to sell it at the same price that you bought it for, a couple of years later. (Assuming you didn't destroy it) Then you can use that same money to buy that two stroke that you want. Two strokes are much higher maintenance and require you to mix gas and oil every tank. Two strokes are a completely different beast and not for the beginner.
Depends on the bike... There's a reason 90% of trials bikes are 2t ;-)
@@angelocardoc.
would this bike fit someone 5'11
Raider 3771 I'm 5'11 and my whole foot can touch the ground comfortable with minimal knee bend
im 5'4-5'5 would this be for me?
sure , buy it ride it ..... i'm ur height and ride tallest bike
is this bike essentially the same as the ttr225 bikes made until 2004?
I think so
hi my name is will and I'm 13 and 5,1 I know I'm short I ride a crf150f and have plenty of experience been riding since I was 6,anyway I can sit on my crf witches seat height is 32 inches so do you think this would be a good bike for me
Hi Will. The TT-R230 has a 34" seat height. I don't know if your tall enough. The only way to know for sure is to sit on one.
Okay thanks for the help
And if you sit on a new one just know that the suspension will lower a little bit after you ride it a while.
Thank you
I'm 13 5'9 and like 155 lbs I have experience riding and am looking to get one of these for my first bike. Is this a good bike for me? I've ridden a tt-r 125 and did absolutely fine with no problems. I can use a clutch and manual transmission and control a bike pretty well. I've been told this would suit me best but I don't personally know please help! :)
Yes This would be a good bike
